Cancellation & refunds

We hope our letters become a happy part of your month. If they're not the right fit anymore, stopping is easy.

Cancel anytime

• Email [email protected] and tell us you'd like to cancel. No fees, no forms.
• Cancel before your next billing date and you won't be charged again.
• If a renewal charge goes through after you asked to cancel, we'll refund it.

Letters already mailed

Each letter is printed with your child's name and mailed to your door, so letters that have already mailed aren't refundable.

Lost or damaged letters

If a letter never arrives or shows up damaged, tell us within 60 days and we'll resend it free.

Yearly plans

If you cancel a yearly plan early, you get back the cost of each month that hasn't mailed yet: $14 per month for Year of roots ($168 for 12 months) and $30 per month for Family Year ($360 for 12 months).

How refunds work

Refunds go back to your original card within 5 to 10 business days.
